Attendance USA is for anyone dedicated to improving school attendance and student outcomes across the United States. This includes educators, district leaders, community organizations, and policymakers who want to connect, share, and advance attendance best practices on a national scale.
Attendance refers to the presence of students at school, while absenteeism focuses on their absence, especially chronic absence, which is when a student misses a significant number of school days, regardless of the reason. While attendance looks at who’s showing up, absenteeism digs into who’s not, and why? So interventions can be targeted more effectively.
